How to Train a Stubbornly Unchanging Cat

Some cats are like rubber bands—neither soft nor hard, no matter how you discipline them, they remain shamelessly stubborn. You may have tried many methods, yet the cat remains indifferent. At this point, you might give up after multiple training failures. Then, all items in the house become its victims. Wallpapers, sofas, carpets, all are scarred. For such a destructive king, you absolutely cannot easily give up on taming it.
Shift the Target
Since the cat is stubbornly unchanging, you can only shift the objects it claws at. Buy it a scratching board or make one yourself, but make sure to use some loose materials and place it near the cat’s bedroom. If the cat likes to climb, it’s best to buy a scratching post. This won't change its habit of scratching things but at least the furniture can be spared.
Address the Root Cause
The reason cats damage things is because they have sharp claws, so be sure to trim its nails every two weeks; if they grow fast, adjust accordingly yourself.
Secret Weapon
If the previous two methods have been used but the cat still scratches randomly, prepare a water spray bottle. Spray when it approaches sensitive items to instill fear. In addition, when it damages something, deny it treats but wave the treats in front of it, making it feel controlled by you.
