How to train a cat not to bite change living habits
Leopard Cat
First, you need to cultivate good habits of interacting with humans in your cat from a young age, letting him know that some of his behaviors are not liked by the owner. When a kitten instinctively holds and bites your finger while playing, you can scold loudly or make an angry sound, while immediately lightly tapping on his head (the strength must be controlled, not too hard, or he will hate you; not too light, or he will think you are playing with him), then extend your finger to him again; he will usually bite you again out of a retaliatory mindset, at this time you tap his head again, then extend your finger to him... repeat this process four or five times until he only gently holds your finger in his mouth without biting hard. When he bites again next time, use this method, and generally, good results will appear within a month. Of course, the cat’s need to grind teeth and play should also be cared for; you can prepare some toys for him, such as paper balls, cat-specific toy mice, etc., so the kitten can release energy and satisfy his natural biting instincts.
