Five Major Taboos of Cats Not Being Tamed (Are Cats Untamable?)
The five major taboos of cats not being tamed include:
1. Forcing them to take a bath
Raising cats is different from raising dogs; dogs may need regular baths. But actually, cats do not need baths very often. Cats clean themselves by licking, and most cats are afraid of water.
Owners must never force cats to take a bath, as this will make cats very scared, insecure, and sometimes may even cause extreme reactions.
2. Ignoring them, thinking they cannot be tamed anyway
Do you think cats can be tamed? Honestly, cats’ aloof personality gives many people a misconception that they cannot be tamed. In fact, cats have feelings and very much like their owners. Some cats can even be very clingy. It's just that some cats don’t know how to express their feelings.
3. Don’t raise a cat if you don’t want to
Before deciding to raise a cat, owners must first understand cats and then raise them for life, taking good care of them. Some owners, after raising cats, find it not as beautiful as they imagined, then don’t want to keep them and directly abandon or transfer them to others.
But this actually harms the cat greatly, as they don’t know why they are being abandoned by their owner.
4. Forcing the cat to be close to others
Cats prefer quietness. Sometimes when owners bring friends home, the house might be noisy. If the cat hides, owners must never force them to come out to meet people, as this is what cats dislike the most! Cats find it hard to suddenly accept so many strangers.
Owners should pay more attention to cats usually. You can also buy them some tasty freeze-dried chicken treats to feed occasionally and improve your relationship, which will make cats very happy.
5. Not letting them eat cat food
Cat food as a staple diet should be valued by owners. Some owners think feeding human food to cats is better, but really human food is not suitable for cats and negatively affects their health.
For the health of cats, it is recommended to mainly eat cat food to meet their nutritional needs.

Why cats cannot be tamed
I don’t agree with the saying that local cats cannot be tamed. My cat is a local cat, a native calico bought for 400 yuan, and I think I have tamed it.
Local cats are actually pretty good. Whether you like a cat has nothing to do with the breed; the key is how you get along. After accompanying each other, deep feelings can develop. Finding a cat cute at first glance is mutual attraction and appreciation.
The cat you raise with your hard work, regardless of breed, whether local or purebred, has feelings. Even if others offer you a better cat in exchange, you wouldn’t exchange it, just like your own child, would you dislike him?
My cat is a local cat, but its looks are good, not inferior to purebred cats at all. You can see in the illustration. My cat is now over two years old. It came to my house at five months old. From initially being scared to now reigning supreme, the transformation has been huge.
The cat has now become part of my family. I watch it think of itself as human; it treats us as its partners, playmates, and family.
Every night, if someone hasn’t come home, the cat doesn’t sleep, pacing on the floor, looking at the door and meowing. One time, I had to take the cat to another room in my house. The cat hid and refused to come out. It treats the original place as home. When the cat first came, if I touched it, it would scratch me. Now if I deliberately hit it, it only extends its paws a few times to scare me. Sometimes, the cat actively walks up to me, purring while enjoying my petting, then it stretches out its little paws, retracts the claws, and gently and carefully touches my face with its tiny paw pads, afraid of hurting me, which really moves me. Sometimes, the cat also shows its love by gently licking my hand with its mouth.
All this proves that cats are intelligent animals; cats can be tamed, and it’s not true that local cats cannot be tamed or purebreds can all be tamed.
To tame a cat requires time. The speed of taming a cat relates to the cat’s past experiences, temperament, and habits. If a cat has been hurt before, it will take longer to tame. Companionship is the best medicine to earn a cat’s trust. Only when a cat trusts you will it approach and be close to you, seek your help in danger or difficulty, and build a family-like relationship with you.
Therefore, whether a cat can be tamed is unrelated to breed. Local cats can be tamed.
Why cats are never tame
It is best to start raising a cat when it is two or three months old to tame it easily. Also, whether a cat can be tamed depends on how much the owner likes cats and the cat’s own personality.
If you want the cat to actively approach you, try the reward method, using treats like cat sticks, nutritional paste, small dried fish to call its name and attract attention. When it approaches, give it the treat, pet it while eating, and try not to let it take the food away. Repeat this in different places, three to four times a day for two weeks, and it will be effective.
Are cats untamable
Blue cats can also be tamed, but owners must put in more effort and time to build a good relationship with them. Generally, adopted kittens are not used to a new environment and unfamiliar owner, and may feel hurt and abandoned by previous owners. Under such circumstances, they tend to be depressed, listless, not like to eat, and often hide in dark corners.
Why cats are not tamed
Actually, cats as well as dogs have spirituality; it depends on how you treat them~
The cats I have now, the adult cat goes out but always comes back by itself~ young cats are generally not let out because in my home they enter and exit through the window. Young cats can’t jump that high and won’t return if they go out~
When you sincerely raise a cat, it will know this is its home~ Of course, if the cat is gifted or bought, you must keep it in a cage or use a cat leash for the first three weeks to let it get familiar with your home and you~ like a child afraid of a new place, it is normal to run and it usually cannot find its way back home.
Why cats are untamable
1. Cold-blooded animals have very low intelligence, 2. poor memory, don’t recognize owners, 3. cold-blooded animals recognize kin by smell. Human smells are variable. So they cannot be tamed.
From a biological perspective, cold-blooded animals are generally lower animals like reptiles and amphibians, which do not possess high intelligence, so they lack emotional expression characteristics of highly intelligent animals.
On the other hand, due to behavioral differences between species, even if cold-blooded animals have emotions (like caring for offspring), their way of expression is not understood by humans. Communication is difficult. This is why it is generally believed that cold-blooded animals cannot be tamed.
Can cats be untamed?
Cats and dogs both have spirituality. There is no untamable cat. It depends on whether you have enough patience to teach and domesticate it. Cats are naturally cautious and aloof; once they trust you, they will naturally be close to you.
If they are fierce to you or bite when you pet them, don’t respond harshly or punish them. They might think you want to hurt them and become defensive. This will only increase distance. When they bite you, you can gently tap their mouth and tell them not to do it, then comfort them by petting their head (unless they are too wary) and often play with them using toys.
