Analysis on Whether the Cat's Night Roaming Habit Can Be Corrected

Domestic Cat
1. Correct night roaming from kittenhood
Correcting a cat's night roaming must begin with the kitten stage. When starting training, use a cage to tame the cat, releasing it during the day for indoor activities but never outdoors. At night, catch it back into the cage. Over time, this habit forms, and even without the cage, the cat will not roam at night.
2. Slight medication to induce sleep
If it is really difficult, you can use medication to induce sleep for the cat at night, and use a small amount of stimulant during the day. It won't take long for the night roaming habit to be corrected. Also, avoid long periods of outdoor release or allowing free access, or it may cause the cat's bad habits to relapse.
3. Make the cat attached to home
An enclosed porch or an outward-extending window part is a safe place for a cat to interact with nature. If you have a fenced yard, another good method is to set up a net on the fence to keep the cat inside the yard. During the day, you can train the cat to walk with a leash, but be sure to use the lightest retractable leash and connect it to a harness instead of a collar. Let your cat get used to wearing a harness indoors, then you can take it outside for adventures.
