Four Types of Dog Paw Pad Classifications

Dog Paws
Actually, dog paw pads can also be classified, and if you observe carefully, you can notice the differences. Some dogs with short legs naturally have a "toed-out" stance, forming a special paw shape; some dogs are naturally thin but lack toughness and endurance. Here, the editor will tell you that dog paw pads can actually be divided into the following four types.
1. Cat Paw Type:
This paw type is ideal when small and round. It is a common paw type for working dogs.
2. Rabbit Paw Type:
This paw type is oval-shaped, resembling a rabbit paw at first glance, and is a more ideal paw type. It is commonly seen in toy dogs, such as pugs, which require the rabbit paw type.
3. Splayed Type:
This paw type has overly large gaps between the toes, which is visually less attractive and often traps dirt and sand between the toes when walking outside.
4. Paper Type:
This paw type has toes as thin as paper, with poorly developed claw tips, making it difficult to support the body's weight.
